Long-standing Bielenda fans will be familiar with the brand’s iconic algae face masks. Indeed, they have remained a best-seller for many years!
Excitingly, Bielenda recently introduced a new generation of algae-gel face masks to their portfolio, offering several advantages for therapists and clients alike:
- A new base of glucose and alginate significantly improves hydration and provides additional proteins, vitamins and beneficial trace elements for the skin.
- Luxurious ‘hydro jelly’ formula is easy to spread and self-levels after application, setting in 15-20 minutes and removing cleanly in one piece.
- Relaxing fragrance compositions add an aromatherapy effect and are constructed in the manner of classic perfumery, with top, heart and base notes that delight the senses.
- Opalescent, attractive aesthetics thanks to the inclusion of illuminating particles and on-trend colourways, ensuring your social media stands out!
- Active ingredients enable you to tailor your treatments to the specific requirements of diverse skin types.
Available now at Natasha Cosmetics, here’s a run-down of the four new algae-gel masks in the range.
Anti-Wrinkle Peptide Mask
The fab anti-wrinkle face mask from Bielenda contains an advanced multi-peptide complex and snail slime extract to rejuvenate, firm and hydrate the skin, while simultaneously combatting the formation of expression lines.
Snail slime?! No, you’re not imagining things! This all-natural ingredient was first popularised by Korean skincare brands and quickly went viral. It’s a real powerhouse when it comes to intense moisturisation, stimulation of collagen production, and aiding in skin healing and regeneration.
Its actions here are supported by betaine and pullulan, which together help to maintain proper hydration levels and smooth the appearance of pesky fine lines.
A real all-rounder, this shimmering pink mask is suitable for everyone but is especially recommended for mature skin with wrinkles, uneven texture and a lack of vitality.

Nourishing Ceramide Mask
Our top choice for ‘unhappy’ skin, this nourishing algae mask is enriched with moisturising ceramides, soothing ectoine and skin-loving prebiotics.
Bielenda’s golden wonder also provides long-lasting hydration with its combo of trehalose and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, making it perfect for dehydrated skins (and post-sunbathing!).
Problematic skin types and compromised complexions in need of extra care will certainly benefit from this nurturing formula, making it a must-have for all salons.

Firming Phyto-Collagen Mask
A firming hydro jelly mask that helps mitigate common signs of ageing and fatigue.
We love the blend of biomimetic growth factors and rejuvenating phyto-collagen in this formula, which provides a multitude of anti-ageing benefits – including cell regeneration and the activation of collagen and elastin production.
Best of all, the botanical lifting complex in this mask provides an instant tightening and toning effect, reducing the appearance of sagging skin and subtly defining facial contours.
Ideal for mature clients with fine lines and a loss of firmness and elasticity – a true anti-ageing hero!

Illuminating Multivitamin Mask
Designed for delicate, sensitive skin and dull, tired complexions. Bielenda’s fresh and fruity recipe boasts skin-soothing cica plus a cocktail of vitamins to brighten and revitalise the appearance.
Ultra-stable vitamin C is the star of the show here, with its well-documented antioxidant and brightening skillset. It’s supported by an enviable cast of multi-talented vitamins: B3, B5 and B6, who between them bring additional protective, calming and hydrating properties to the stage.
Finally, trehalose, troxerutin and amla round out the act with their impressive moisturising, anti-inflammatory and skin-strengthening abilities.
Try this glittering mask as part of a pre-event facial or post-party detox – your clients are sure to love the results!

Top tips for getting the most from your masks
- For best results, maintain a 1:1 ratio of water and powder. For facial application, mix 3 scoops of powder with 3 scoops of water – this is enough to cover the face, lips and eyes. To include the neck, increase the proportion to 4 scoops.
- Add water to a bowl first, then introduce the powder. Mix vigorously with a large spatula until a smooth consistency is obtained. To make your life easier, Natasha Cosmetics stock Bielenda’s flexible silicone bowls and large plastic spatulas!
- Apply your mask by starting in the centre of the forehead and working down. Apply briskly, avoiding excessive build-up of product in any one area or over-working the mask (remember the mask is self-levelling).
- Algae masks are safe to be applied over the eyes and lips but check that your client is happy with this before you start. Always leave the nostrils free!
- Male clients? It’s absolutely fine to apply to the mask over stubble and short beards, but don’t press the product into the hair.
- After 15-20 minutes, remove the mask in one piece by gently lifting and peeling from the forehead down. Remove any remnants with warm, damp mitts or toner.
- Boost the results of your mask by applying your chosen Bielenda serum underneath. The occlusive effects of the algae aids in absorption.
- Not just for faces – Bielenda algae-gel masks can also be incorporated into a ‘bikini facial’ or used after waxing to cool and calm the skin.
